Privacy Policy

Atlantic Coast Business Advisors LLC Last updated: August 12, 2026

Atlantic Coast Business Advisors LLC ("Atlantic Coast," "we," "us") values the privacy of the people who visit our website and use our services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to www.atlanticcoastbusinessbrokers.com and to all data collection and use by Atlantic Coast Business Advisors LLC.

By using our website, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

We may update this Policy. If we change it, we will update the date above. If we ever decide to use personal information we already hold in a way materially different from what was described when we collected it, we will notify affected users by email and give them the choice of whether to permit that use. This does not apply to mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data, which are never repurposed or shared regardless of consent.

Mobile information. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing categories described in this Policy and are not shared with any third party.

This Policy does not cover the collection or use of information by companies we do not control, or by people we do not employ or manage. If you follow a link from our site to another website, review that site's privacy policy before providing it with information.

Information we collect

It is always your choice whether to give us personal information. If you choose not to, we may be unable to provide certain services.

Information you provide. Your name, business name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and information about your business that you share with us through forms, email, phone calls, or during an engagement.

Information collected automatically. Cookies, analytics and tracking technologies, server logs, IP address, browser type, and operating system.

We only collect personal information that you knowingly and willingly provide, or that is collected automatically as described above. We use personal information for the purpose for which it was provided and for the additional purposes described in this Policy.

Why we collect information and how long we keep it

We collect and use your information to:

  • Understand your needs and provide the services you have requested;

  • Communicate with you about your inquiry or engagement;

  • Improve our services;

  • Send you informational or promotional email when you have consented to receive it;

  • Invite you to participate in surveys or research when you have consented;

  • Operate and improve our website.

We keep your information no longer than necessary. In deciding how long to retain it, we consider how long the information remains relevant, how long we need records to show we met our professional and legal obligations, applicable limitation periods, retention periods required by law or recommended by regulators or professional bodies, the nature of our agreement with you, whether you have given consent, and our legitimate interest in retaining it as described in this Policy.

How we use and share information

We do not sell, rent, or lease our customer lists or contact information to any third party.

We may use your personal information to operate our website, deliver the services you request, and keep you informed about services that may be relevant to you.

We may disclose your information only in these circumstances:

  • As necessary to provide the services you have requested;

  • To service providers who perform functions on our behalf and are contractually required to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services to us;

  • In aggregated or de-identified form, where you cannot reasonably be identified;

  • As required by law, or in response to a subpoena, court order, or search warrant;

  • To outside auditors who have agreed to keep the information confidential;

  • As necessary to enforce our Terms of Service;

  • As necessary to protect the rights and property of Atlantic Coast Business Advisors LLC;

  • In other ways described in this Policy or to which you have otherwise consented, except that mobile phone numbers and SMS/text messaging opt-in consent are never shared under this provision.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this Policy, mobile phone numbers and SMS/text messaging opt-in consent are never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party or affiliate for any purpose, including with your consent. This information is used only by Atlantic Coast Business Advisors and by the service providers who deliver messages on our behalf, who are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.

Confidentiality of business information

Because we advise business owners on the sale of their companies, we routinely receive sensitive financial and operational information. We treat that information as confidential. We do not disclose the identity of a business, its financial results, or the fact that it is for sale to any prospective buyer or other party except as authorized by our client, and in the case of prospective buyers, only after a non-disclosure agreement has been executed.

SMS and text messaging

What we use text messaging for

Atlantic Coast Business Advisors uses SMS text messaging to communicate directly with business owners who have contacted us. We use it to schedule and confirm consultation calls, follow up on a valuation or sale inquiry, answer questions about our services, and coordinate document requests during an active engagement.

We do not send marketing blasts, promotional campaigns, or automated message sequences. Every text we send is a one-to-one message tied to an inquiry you initiated or a conversation you are already part of.

How we obtain your consent

We only send text messages to people who have given us permission. There are two ways we obtain that permission.

Through our website. When you submit a form on our website, you may choose to check a box agreeing to receive text messages at the mobile number you provide. This box is optional and is never pre-checked. You can submit any form on our site without agreeing to text messages, and we will still respond to your inquiry by email or phone.

Verbally, by phone. If you call us or speak with one of our advisors, we may ask whether it is alright to follow up by text at your number. If you agree, we tell you what the messages will cover, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, that you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for assistance, and that we do not sell or share your information. We then record your consent, including the date, time, and the representative who obtained it, in our customer database.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies depending on your inquiry and the stage of your engagement, and will not exceed 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Atlantic Coast Business Advisors does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

How to stop receiving messages

Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out of future text messages. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at the email or phone number below.

Opting out of text messages does not affect your engagement with us or our ability to reach you by phone or email.

We do not sell or share your mobile information

Atlantic Coast Business Advisors does not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with any third party or affiliate for any purpose, including for their own marketing purposes and including where you have given consent.

We use third-party service providers to deliver messages on our behalf and to store contact information in our internal systems. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us, are bound by confidentiality obligations, and may not use, sell, or share your information for any other purpose.
